Got an enquiry about Broadway Baby? Chances are it's been asked before. Below are the most common questions.

Account Questions

The most common reason for this is that you're using your email address as your username - they're not the same. When you created your account you will have been asked for a username and password. You only need to use your email if you've forgotten your login details and need to reset.

Short answer, no. You can do this yourself on the third tab of the login box.

With an account you can add listings, claim listings and apply to write for Broadway Baby. Also, while you can technically buy advertising without an account, if you book while logged in you can come back later and track the campaign.

Listings Questions

You'll find a link under the Categories menu. Note that we get the majority of our listings automatically from data feeds of the venue or festival organiser. Do a quick search before adding a listing as we won't add duplications.

Check the following:

  • Make sure you are logged into your account
  • 'My Listings' is under the Categories menu

All submitted listings are double checked to combat spam. If your listing was rejected it was either not an actual show or it's a duplicate of a listing we already have.

It depends. During busy periods we'll be checking every day; but when it's quiet we may only check once a week. The takeaway here is don't leave it until the last minute to tell us about your show - we make no guarantees of how quickly we can get around to approving it.

Short answer, no. If you want to amend your listing you need to 'claim it' and make the edits yourself. Sending us a massive new JPG (which will need resizing) and a laundry list of changes you want to your listing will politely be ignored.

Review Questions

Maybe - depends whether it appeals to one of our reviewers. In the background we use a bespoke listing and scheduling system called Thistle. That lets our reviewers know which shows are available to review and they make their choices about what they want to see. Thistle automatically filters shows so reviewers are seeing shows in the genre(s) they like, but your chances of getting them interested are mostly based on your image and marketing blurb. You can augment that if you've claimed the listing (or created it) with a press release. That will be made available to prospective reviewers while they're browsing through. This topic is pretty broad though, so we've added an article about it here.

We have a complaints policy which outlines how we handle complaints. We promise to look into every complaint raised fairly and without prejudice.

We're happy for you to use pull quotes and the Broadway Baby logo in conjunction with your show (brand guidelines and copies of the logo are here), but if you want to use the entire review you should link to the page on Broadway Baby.
