The Nutty Professor and His Amazing Magic Bubble Show

Bubble-lovers will rejoice in this fun, immersive spectacle lead by the energetic assistant Ms Squeaky Bottom and the Nutty Professor himself. This show fully lives up to the jubbly expectations set by its title and will surely provide a fun experience for any kids in the 7-and-under age group.

While the entire audience is showered with bubbles at one point or another, you'd do your best to grab a front row seat for maximum involvement

Full of sound effects, call-and-response cheers, and a selection of volunteers and “helpers” from the audience, the hour-long show does well to hold the attention of the children in the room. There’s also the occasional cheeky joke which might even appeal to some adults. The costumes and set are colorful in appearance and even more colorful is the personality of the characters.

While the entire audience is showered with bubbles at one point or another, you'd do your best to grab a front row seat for maximum involvement. Those bold enough to sit near the stage can expect showerings of squiggly toys and every type of bubble imaginable- bubble blizzards, bubble volcanos, bubble ice-cream and even- for those daring few children- the chance to be encased in a bubble! Viewers can even expect a guest appearance from local celebrity monster Nessie.

This show will surely provide an enjoyable experience for young children, but it is lacking in material that might also appeal to parents. There are times when the show seems to move too slowly to keep the attention of the younger crowd, an issue that could perhaps be solved by more music or other effects. But overall this is a great show for kids and provides a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see some unique bubble shows put on by a quirky, likeable couple.

… we have a small favour to ask. We don't want your money to support a hack's bar bill at Abattoir, but if you have a pound or two spare, we really encourage you to support a good cause. If this review has either helped you discover a gem or avoid a turkey, consider doing some good that will really make a difference.

You can donate to the charity of your choice, but if you're looking for inspiration, there are three charities we really like.

Mama Biashara
Kate Copstick’s charity, Mama Biashara, works with the poorest and most marginalised people in Kenya. They give grants to set up small, sustainable businesses that bring financial independence and security. That five quid you spend on a large glass of House White? They can save someone’s life with that. And the money for a pair of Air Jordans? Will take four women and their fifteen children away from a man who is raping them and into a new life with a moneymaking business for Mum and happiness for the kids.

Theatre MAD
The Make A Difference Trust fights HIV & AIDS one stage at a time. Their UK and International grant-making strategy is based on five criteria that raise awareness, educate, and provide care and support for the most vulnerable in society. A host of fundraising events, including Bucket Collections, Late Night Cabarets, West End Eurovision, West End Bares and A West End Christmas continue to raise funds for projects both in the UK and Sub-Saharan Africa.
