The composer David Lang's Pulitzer Prize-winning choral work, based on the Hans Christian Andersen story of a poor young girl's struggle with neglect and poverty on a holiday night, was a moving work for the holidays when the museum first performed it. It is returning for one evening only, with Kent Tritle conducting the Manhattan School of Music Chamber Choir.
