The Seattle troupe Spectrum Dance Theater, which has been around since 1982, got a second wind in 2002 after the estimable choreographer Donald Byrd, known for vivid, spirited movement, took over. Those out-of-towners share the stage with a hometown company, Sidra Bell Dance. Ms. Bell gives her highly physical choreography psychological undertones and a feminist touch.
