The latest music theater work by the composer, vocalist and choreographer Meredith Monk is a spare, largely textless elegy for our planet, featuring eight vocalist-dancers, some of whom also play instruments. Ms. Monk, currently celebrating the 50th year of her New York career, is featured in what she has called a "nonverbal rant," but the mood of the piece as a whole is more melancholy than angry.
