In the 1993 family film "Free Willy," a boy bonds with a captive whale before helping him escape to freedom. More than 20 years later, the new interdisciplinary Brooklyn collective I Am a Boys Choir reimagines that premise as a "queer utopia." The result, "So Long, Willy (Let's Go Home)," skewers '90s animated classics and animal films with a sense of playfulness, subversion and nostalgia.
