This passionate young cellist begins her weeklong residency at Caramoor with a solo recital in the Spanish Courtyard. The lineup includes one of her signature works, Kodaly's soulful Sonata for Solo Cello, to which she brings a haunting intensity. She will also perform Bach's Cello Suite No. 3; Britten's "Tema Sacher"; and "Omaramor" by Osvaldo Golijov, a composer she has championed. (Other highlights from her residency include chamber music with the Ariel Quartet on July 25 and a concert featuring the Orchestra of St. Luke's and the conductor Pablo Heras-Casado on Aug. 3.)
