Develop the foundational skills needed to dance the fun and beautiful dance of 'Raqs Sharqi,' or Egyptian-style bellydance. On Saturday, we will learn basic posture, technique, movements, and weight shifting, as well as some combos. We will learn about some of the most important Arabic rhythms. You will practise hip and chest isolations, travelling steps, and the all important shimmy! On Sunday we will learn a short piece of choreography.
