(previews start on Monday; opens on July 13) The National Asian American Theater Company revives its acclaimed 2013 production for the Public Theater, under Stephen Brown-Fried's direction. Asian-American actors play three generations of the Berger family, a lower-middle class, Jewish-American clan crammed into a small Bronx apartment. Reviewing the original Group Theater production in 1935, Brooks Atkinson called it, "bursting with the pressure of longing, frustration, and conflict."
