An exploration of Brighton's identity, through photographs and film, combined with spoken word from Tash Gilbert and dance from Hebe Salmon.Join ProjectOurs for their debut Brighton Fringe event, which will explore identity, and what it means to find your identity through different communities and personal expression. In particular, they will look at Brighton and its changing identity over the years, through a combination of spoken word, physical performance, and projections of images of Brighton submitted by residents.Performances from:Tash Gilbert - queer and neurodivergent musician and poet, who will be writing and performing a response to the theme of Brighton and it's identity as a queer seaside resort.Hebe Salmon - dancer and performer, known for her piece Giselle: this time it's about me.ProjectOurs is a queer creative collective for outcasts and others, based in Brighton. They host various events and screenings around Brighton, from shorts nights of collective members films to immersive screenings of works by diverse filmmakers.THIS EVENT IS PART OF THE CULTURE CONNEX FESTIVAL SEASON IN COLLABORATION WITH URBANFLO, PACE, BRIGHTON FRINGE, BRIGHTON PRIDE, IRONWORKS STUDIOS & BN1 ARTS.
