Show
Tell us a bit about yourself
I create interactive comedy and cabaret pieces that are revolutionary and follow the idea of performance as an active experience, for both the performer and the audience. It’s always linked to the idea of the here and now.
Can you tell us a little bit about your show, what can we expect?
Madame Señorita is an irresistible diva and surreal clown whose main aim is to drive you bananas and leave you shouting for more. The show: ¿Who are Tú? has been described by some people as a David Lynch-esque idiot show, and is the result of sixty raucous late-night improvised sessions in Edinburgh. Madame Señorita will be asking the audience to help her achieve her obsession: To become a great Spanish dramatic actress and a Rock‘n´Roll Star.
Why did you decide to perform your show at the Brighton Fringe?
I feel the need, very deep inside me!
What makes your show different?
It was performed in a 120 seater at Edinburgh Fringe, every night for 28 nights, and I not only survived but wanted to keep on developing it. By now, I think I can say I am in love with this show because is loyal to me and never lets me down.
Who would enjoy seeing your show?
Anybody that is not an intellectual and that is able to enjoy the ride, without involving his/her brain too much.
What has been the best advice you have been given?
To look for the pleasure, constantly, in everything and in everyone.
What show, apart from yours, would you recommend at the Brighton Fringe and why?
I am exited to watch A Tit Show by Mojo Company. It is a show where the tits of the performers dance, sing and talk. I have never heard of them before but I have just been reading about them and I really liked what I read.
What do you think audiences will enjoy the most about your show?
That moment in the show when they realise that everything that has happened so far is totally bonkers and makes no sense at all, and still they know that they have been present and have had a great time in the moment, in the here and now.
Madame Señorita: ¿Who are Tú? is appearing in the Brighton Fringe at the Marlborough Theatre 21-22 May 21:00
