Joanna Neary is best known as neighbour and love interest Judith in the four series of Ideal (BBC TWO) with Johnny Vegas. In addition to her Perrier Best Newcomer Award nomination in 2004, she has won the Brighton Fringe Festival Award for Best Female Performer and the Fringe Reports Best Actor Theatrical Comedy Award, both in 2005. Joanna was nominated for Best Character Act at the Chortle Awards in 2007 and continues to be a regular performer at some of the countrys best loved comedy nights, including Robin Inces School For Gifted Children, Josie Longs Sunday Night Adventure Club, and Adam Buxtons Out Of Focus Group. Last year, Joanna appeared in the Mitchell and Webb Look, Adam Buxtons Meebox on BBC3 and BBC4s Ornate Johnsons Edwardian Extravaganza. Shes also been seen in Skins and No Heroics as well as performing her own comedy on Radio 4 Womans Hour.
