The highlight of the Sheffield Comedy Festival, the Plastic Seat Company present this irreverent sketchfest. The four gentlemen weave their blend of physical dexterity, verbal contortionism and surreal parody to hilarious effect. 'Relentlessly funny' (Sheffield Star).

Clever Sketch Show

The Plastic Seat Company's debut show is a promising mix of comedy sketches, which take great delight in referencing pop culture of today. The group consists of four confident young lads, performing a multitude of characters and genres, from James Bond to Moses, and Film Noir to Grease.
Initially, I feared I was going to be exposed to four students up in Edinburgh for a bit of a laugh, but there's clearly a lot of work gone into these sketches, with more audio cues and costume changes you've any right to expect from a free fringe show.
The majority of the ideas are initially good, with perhaps a little more writing work needed to fully develop their comedy potential. With an hour to fill, obviously some of the sketches are going to be better that others, but thankfully the show runs at such a fast pace you're never far away from more laughter. The group seem to be having great fun on stage, with Ian Collins being a real highlight to watch.
The cereal advert is a particular gem, I wish it went on for longer. You won't waste your time checking this out.
